Much emphasis has always been put on quality art courses for children and young people. Courses are organized around age groups of 4–5, 6–9, 10–12 and 13–16 year olds. In the youngest group there are no more than six children, but the number of pupils grows as the age goes up, with a maximum of twelve in the teenage groups. During the winter courses are held weekly but in the summer most courses are taught daily for a week.

Children art courses are open to everyone but to ensure an enjoyable experience at the school, the enrolment of non-Icelandic speaking students to a specific course requires consultation with the teacher of the course. Please ask for further information at the office, mir@mir.is
