Programmes open to apply for full-time studies:
- Visual Arts: Two-Year programme towards matriculation
- Visual Arts: One-Year Foundation consisting of selected modules from the two-year programme
- Two-Year diploma programme: Illustration
- Two-Year diploma programme: Textiles
The deadline for submission is Wednesday, May 24th, before midnight.
VISUAL ARTS: TWO-YEAR PROGRAMME TOWARDS MATRICULATION
Information about the programme
Admission Requirements:
- Applicants must have finished at least 60 secondary school credits, 30 credits at second level; 10 in Icelandic, 10 in English, 5 in Danish and 5 in mathematics, and a minimum of 30 elective credits in languages, humanities, or humanities sciences.
- An entrance examination is an integral part of the application process.
An admissions committee reviews the application and assesses the test results.
For an application to be valid, you need to:
- Submit a passport photo with the digital application.
- Pay an application fee of ISK 15.000 (not refundable).
- Select the checkbox in the application to allow the school access to your study process if it is registered in the INNA system. If the INNA system does not have your study process from your earlier studies, upload certified digital copies of your study process records or files with the application.
- Read the terms of payment that apply to full-time study for the new application and check the box to confirm to submit.
2023-2024 Tuition fee: The annual total for the Visual Arts Two-year programme towards matriculation is 248.000 ISK or 124.000 ISK per semester.
VISUAL ARTS: ONE-YEAR FOUNDATION PROGRAMME

Admission Requirements:
- Applicants have completed the matriculated education requirements.
- An entrance examination is an integral part of the application process.
An admissions committee reviews the application and assesses the test results.
For an application to be valid, you need to:

- Pay an application fee of ISK 15.000 (not refundable).
- Select the checkbox in the application to allow the school access to your study process if it is registered in the INNA system. 2023-2024 Tuition fee: The annual total for the Visual Arts One-year foundation Programme is 418.000 ISK or 209.000 ISK per semester.
Two-Year diploma programme: Illustration
Information about the programme
Admission Requirements:
- Applicants have completed a secondary school matriculation certificate in the arts or an equivalent education.
- Submit sketchbooks and portfolios with samples of their works by uploading the digital files on the application website—at least ten digital pages or a maximum file size of 350 MB.
An admission board will review the submissions and contact qualified applicants for an interview.
For an application to be valid, you need to:
- Submit a passport photo with the digital application.
- Pay an application fee of ISK 15.000 (not refundable).
- Select the checkbox in the application to allow the school access to your study process if it is registered in the INNA system. If the INNA system does not have your study process from your earlier studies, upload certified digital copies of your study process records or files with the application.
