Application

Applications open on February 20th for full time studies. School year 2020-21.

Foundation Studies (1 & 2 Year programs)

For the two year programme applicants should have completed one year of upper secondary school with 30 specified credits and 30 credits of electives.

For the one year programme applicants have to have completed matriculation examination. An entrance examination is a part of the application process.

Diploma Courses

Applicants should have completed secondary level education with visual art as a core subject or have other comparable education or experiential credentials.

All applicants need to hand in a portfolio with their application.

Non-Icelandic speaking applicants are advised to turn to the head of department in question for advice and assistance regarding application and the possibility for entering the programme as a foreign speaking student.

Open Art Courses - enrollment

General part-time courses and children’s art courses are open to everyone but to ensure an enjoyable experience at the school, the enrollment of non-Icelandic speaking students to a specific course requires consultation with the teacher of the course.
